I am pretty sure this is a 53, the 57 has a cockpit, there were two 53's here in Grosse Pointe in the mid 1990's

A classic Trojan flybridge named "Seagate". All that is blue looks brand new, as does the rest of the boat...

At first, I thought this was a Striker, but the sheer line looks more like an Infinity. The name was "Croupier" and it appeared to have an aluminum hull. Who can tell us about this?

No. 83 "Croupier"

Carl, although I'm stumped as well, here's an opportunity for the study of styling cues.

Striker possibility-- a dead giveaway that she is not... is due to the reverse sheer of her foredeck; Strikers all aimed for the sky ( but her bow pulpit is Strikeresque, if I may coin a term ).

Infinity--- Harry Schoell never penned a 'normal' house; this house/flybridge looks like an '80's Bertram 54... very buttoned down.

Side exhausts-- early '90's Hatteras.

Where are the engine room air inlets? Starting to look like a one-off homebuilt.

Nav light recesses-- a Hatteras copycat.

Tuna tower legs-- the forelegs are raked too far aft, while the aft legs are nearly vertical-- this practically hollers, "Homebuilt!"

Finally, look at the 'riggers with their bases on the F/B, fer Gawdsake ( kinda like showing up at the Rapper's 300 Chrysler Getogether with 17-inch wheels) --- this guy's gonna get laughed out of Cat Cay.

As always, and my apologies to the owner if he's reading this, just my oh-so-humble opinion.

I could be wrong.

I thought this was interesting. When I took the picture, I thought this was a Merritt. After I uploaded the image and looked again... I dunno. The hull has the sheer of a Viking and it's void of air intakes, but the deckhouse and windows are very Garlington-like. Anyhow, note the size of the captain in proportion to the boat. This was a small sportfish (the tower was barely higher than a Stanley step stool). To me, it looks like it was based on a big brother, but scaled back to fit in a suitcase. Sorry if the answer is obvious, but would like to learn more...

The express-style sportfish boats are somewhat of an anomaly. They cost as much as a flybridge sportfish... but you get less boat!

The boat in the picture is a Luhrs. I really like the lines of this boat. I love
the pictures in the group.

Merry Christmas,

David
