From the yard floor, the flourescent lights that line every level of scaffolding can be seen. Good lighting is imparitive, as this exposes every potential blemish so it can be corrected prior to painting...
Up on the bridge deck, the base of Y701's three-stage mast is seen rising from the forward main deck...
This is a wing/control station located just off the starboard side of the pilothouse. Notice one of the vertical supports for the scaffolding passing through the sole of the deck. Because the wing stations jettison out from the sides of each deck, this pass through hole allows the scaffolding to be placed close enough for exterior work.
Looking forward toward the wing station, on the starboard side of the skylounge deck, many of Y701's exterior areas have recieved their first layer of primer.
Looking forward to the aft-skylounge deck, you'll notice that all the decks have been covered in cardboard to protect them during construction. This picture was taken from the heli-pad, which might prove to be a useful tool in removing primer dust before paint.
Looking aft from the overhang of the covered skylounge aft-deck, this is the exterior starboard bar. Refreshments will follow in a few months...
Way up high and nearly bumping against the shed rafters, this is the starboard side of the sundeck...
Continuing forward on the sundeck, this is the pool with a sunlounge area flanking the starboard side...
A closer look at the pool reveals splash wells and a cut-out for the pool light...
Just aft of the pool and facing forward, a settee has been integrated into the foundation of Y701's main arch. Space is utilized to the fullest, with cabinets and storage wells integrated whenever possible.
Moving down two decks, this is the aft-settee on the main upper deck. Again, every space doubles as storage.
Just forward on the upper aft-deck is the foundation of the dining area, which will feature circular glass sliders for formal dining when closed or al-fresco when open...
A closer inspection shows masking and paint has already commenced in and around the dining area...
Moving forward, this is the main upper deck salon. We're told the flourescent lights will be replaced by something a little snazzier.
