Currently, over 4400 guests are viewing the review on Athena... a new YF record. Not sure where the traffic is coming from. Is there some news on Athena?

Darn near doubled last year's SPLASH record of 3264. Today, we had 5935 people online before the traffic subsided. Also noticed another YF record in the making... Athena is about to eclipse 100,000 views!

I supposedly took a look at the bottom of the front page and spied that 3,973 users were online at 9:08 and 5,935 active users were using Yacht Forums (YF) after 10:00 today!!!! Isn't that crazy? that has eclipsed our previous record of over 3,200+? by some way (the admin could give the correct stats).

One word....Amazing..congrats Carl and everyone!!!

Don't forget to congratulate China for having the Olympic Games.
In hindsight, if YF did a review on a boat named "S*X" or "P***O" that could easily be 1000X the hits.

This traffic isn't from typing a misspelled word into a search engine. The "run-up" was too fast. It is likely another site posted a link to YF in conjunction with some information related to Athena or the owner.

I can tell you the viewers are not boating oriented, because there was no surge in new members. Most likely, they were just curiosity seekers. Although it sets an online record for YF, the quality of the traffic is what's important.
