Royal Huisman launches the 58-meter ketch "Ethereal"
The massive 58-meter "Ethereal" that is under construction by Royal Huisman has just been launched by the shipyard. "The 58m Ron Holland ketch is moved on a pontoon for transport to Harlingen. When both masts are stepped and she is fully rigged, seatrails on the Northsea will follow..."
The beautiful hull was carefully moved out of its building shed and into the day-light where she was gently carried onto a waiting pontoon in the river. The white hull and superstructure gleamed in the light while her contrasting black alternating boot and underwater hull gives great contrast to the physical paint scheme.
Ethereal also known as hull 384 was launched on time, sticking to the penned launch period of early October, 2008. As said, she is now on her way to Harlingen to be finished and tested for delivery to her owner(s).
