Yes, just screwed in, I found no adhesive, just some sealer, took me half an hour to remove, but be prepared to re spray the whole section.

I found no problems at all, I think they are/where there for aesthetic reasons only!

Had teak brows on our Egg Harbor and they served no purpose that I could discover except the look - and the work they created. In the later Post models they became an option. Less and less purchasers selected the option from what I can tell being on the water with them.

Lou, discoloration isn't the problem when removing the teak. You need to close the screw holes and paint the area. I didn't notice any problems walking without having those front grab handles. And yes I agree also that the no teak up front and on the sides look cleaner.

Ruby, do you have the hand rail that goes over the side windows? Don't remember

Ruby, did you replace your bow railing mounts? They look shiny. The chrome has long gone on mine and hoping to find stainless ones that fit the exact same screw holes.

Beau, I do have the original side hand rails. Enclosed is a pic with the beautiful Bodacious in the background. MW Whit 1 I did replace all 22 bases with stainless steel versions. They covered all unused holes, note some holes did need to be re-drilled. The original holes were drilled slightly bigger and filled with West system 6-10, then I used 5200 to bed the new bases. Just an FYI for you guys who need to replace their bases, they are not through bolted at least on my 1986 46, I do hope you will find the same on your own boats, which makes the job much easier. The end cap which is located midship on port and starboard sides is basically a fitting that is used in canvas shops when they make top frames. I will report back with the angle degree of the bases, I think I may have saved the package so to help identify what I had used, if my memory serves me correctly there may have been a few that were a different angle.

I did repaint from the flybridge down to where the non-skid is on the gunnels and to the bottom of the front seat/ledge. Nothing like Imron, the color formula was dead on with the factory color. I did a few real small touch ups on the sides below the rub rail. The entire hull was sanded and buffed
