Hi there!, i just bought a 1976 post 42", one of the things i'm repairing are the rub rails, can you recommend or advise on which Brand And model i have to Look for? I'm pretty new in the boat ownership so the more specific more helpful with be!!! Really eager to learn so you Will see me a lot over here! Regards Juan
There are big differences in rub rails. Some are really good and some garbage. Some of the best I've found for recreational boats are the ones Boston Whaler uses by Barbour Corp.: Replacment Rub Rail for Boston Whaler, Boston Whaler Rub Rail - Replacement Rubrail from Barbour Plastics
Thanks you so much, i already contact them. I decidedto go a rigid type, wood and stainless steel. It´s more similar to the original and try to keep it classy . Thanks again! Juan
What one did you use? Do you have part number? Please post pictures before and after if you Have them
Hello, i bought them from barbour plastics, the model that fits my post 42 is the r190. I spoke with the commercial director Mark, That Also have a distributor integritymarinecorp.com, his email mark@integritymarinecorp.com. The price is 5.50$ Per feet, And its rigid rub rail with stainless steel. When i have pictures aprox in 3 week a i Will post them. Regards Juan
Thank you so much can't wait to see pictures. This is one of the many things on my todo list for my 42
I owe you a picture, This is how the rubrails looks. If interested i can take a close one. Regards Juan.
I had the triples on the last boat, I got them off ebay, they were listed as train horns and sold to the monster truck crowd. they were so loud it was obnoxious. I have the regular OEM horns on the current boat.
Nice looking Post! I'm not experienced outside of the US east coast docking. I've seen/done med mooring with anchors, but how do you get passed that mooring buoy once you untie? Nudge it aside, or is it further out than it looks? How do you back in, particularly if you're single handed?
Sorry, Being busy re building my post, we have doné a lot of work, here is a pic of the new flying bridge!. Once you past the buy, (we moved it to the left) we use anchors. We haven't replace the Old one yet! What i have done on the flying bridge: new consolé, add a extra chair, lumitec lights, and a lot of new electronics!, basicly, i destroyd the Old one and replace everything. Regards P.s how i can up load severas picks? Juan
We nudge the buy aside, and Its further out you see, we moved it a little to the left, we back using only the engines And slow . Hope this answers your question!
