Way back, when YF needed floats to swim, I contacted Post for images to create a gallery of their boats. The ad agency repping them sent me a CD, but within 2 days I had calls from the marketing people at Post saying I was forbidden to publish the images.

It seems they discovered YF was a forum and they were scared that owners would share shortcomings about their boats, too which I asked "have you built some bad Posts?"

To set the record straight...

I have communicated w/ their marketing dept. Still nothing. I've owned (5) 42's and (4) 46's. This one is a keeper... thus the shirts.. I did get this one.. but she's a 53.

Try doing an internet search. I think "Post" is the 3rd most popular word on the internet....... behind, maybe, "sex" and "porn"..... and now by writing those two words, this thread will get listed in 200% more search engines..

Maybe some yacht broker here who never, ever threw away a mfg'er's. brochure will dig through his/her records and find you a running pic of your 46.

any decent graphic artist at any printing, embroidery shop should be able to convert a good picture to a line art drawing. Most graphic software can do that, you can probably do it yourself then spend a few minutes removing background "noise"

Thats what i thought... but after a few dry runs... we are not getting what im looking for. I want it to look like the 53 above... We are also kinda limited here in north Florida... I think if we were doing a rendering of a 4 x4 pickup truck we might have a better shot at this.

If you can supply a decent profile photo (or any other view that you'd like) I think I'd be willing to draw up a vector file for you. It doesn't take too much to get an image like the 53, and I have some free time at the moment. Message me if you're interested.

Hi,

Type "post yachts underway" into the search box on google, click on images when you get the results. The first one is a Post 53 underway have a scrool through the pages or modify the search string and search again there should be some more maybe even the one you are looking for.

They even have some good pics in their online brochures

This article has a very basic drawing of an older 42 you may be able to modify:
