Guys,

Let's refrain from comments in this thread, so we don't dilute the dreadfulness of the designs. It's hard for me not to make comments too, therefore we opened a thread specifically to rant about rogues, here...

These boats were built in the 1970's and I can't recall the name, but it contained the word "cutter". Bad memory aside, check out the hand painted bootstripe...

The name did indeed contain the word 'cutter' since she was [cue drumroll] a Cutter. One of these 28' x 8' w/ Volvo diesel crossed the Atlantic back in the '70s.

Were they sold as a " Camper or a Boat" kind of thing you could use for either life style ?

Why bother making a new skylounge mold for Riviera's 53' sportfish, when the mold from Riviera's 70' skylounge will work perfectly.

They realized further savings by not adding a 'hook' to the foredeck crane which would have completed "the look".
Even Fexas would have rolled his eyes...

Riviera Design

Same-Same!
The image is a Maritimo.
This is a Barry-Cotter boat. He created/owned Riviera before a management buyout gave him a BIG lot of capital and for some reason, a BAD taste in his mouth toward the same people who bought him out at Riviera!
When he started Maritimo, he went for the bigger boat buyers of Riviera, which many believe helped send Riviera to the wall.
Soon Riviera’s started to look like Maritimo!
Coincidence?
BTW, some call these the marine “Pope mobile”!

Hi,

It is also found here: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...opter-pad.html

It comes from the same studio as the streets of Monaco one: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...ant-built.html

Readers of the above mentioned ersatz dunny roll are reminded of the risks associated with the long term exposure to la la land: http://www.yachtforums.com/forums/132536-post9.html

This was being towed to it's dock space at Gold coast marina. There are quite a few of these in Hong Kong that people live on. Most of them have a single small diesel for moving around.
