P2 is a good looking sailing yacht. Here are a couple of shots as she came of the Dockwise ship Yacht Express last November and sailed in US waters for the first time.

Perini at 2009 Boat Shows

Perini Navi at 2009 Boat Shows

Quote:
Viareggio, September 2009. Perini Navi is proud to announce their calendar for 2009 international boat show season: Monaco Yacht Show, Genoa International Boat Show and the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show.

From September 23th to 26th the appointment is at the Monaco Yacht Show.Perini Navi will be exhibiting the 56 meter aluminium ketch Riela. Designed by Perini Navi’s in-house naval architects together with Ron Holland, Riela boasts an ultra-light streamlined aluminium hull with maximum displacement optimized at 545 tons and gross tonnage of 499 tons.

Riela is the 46th unit in the Perini Navi fleet. The interior, designed by Remi Tessier, are based on a luxury and elegance combined with contemporary style, which is reflected in the use of a wide and rich variety of precious and refined materials. Woods and textiles such as macassar ebony, wengè, teak and leather. Riela is equipped with two aluminum masts, carbon fibre booms and she carries a sail plan of approx. 1,500 (16,15 ft²) square metres.

Riela is the seventh 56m sailing yacht launched by Perini Navi. The first 56m, Burrasca, was launched in 2003, and was then followed by Zenji (ex. Santa Maria) ), Rosehearty, Selene, Salute and Silvana. In the next 24 months another 3 56m will be built in this same series with similar naval architecture and fully customized interiors.
Perini Navi stand at the Monaco Yacht Show is “QT9” located on T Central dock.

From October 3th to 11th Perini Navi will be at the Genoa International Boat Show where we will exhibit the SY Baracuda, the latest evolution of the successful 50m series and may be considered a summation of all the innovations that Perini Navi has achieved in over 25 years.
Designed by Perini Navi’s in-house naval architects together with Ron Holland, SY Baracuda features many important project innovations. The aluminium hull is characterized by aggressive, aerodynamic line, emphasised by an unconventional colour: metallic grey with shades of gold, which combines with the silvery reflections of the superstructure.

This contemporary appeal is also echoed in the portholes, which have been revisited in an unusual rectangular shape. Shades of silver also for the two aluminium masts, main mast, and mizzen mast, as well as for the carbon fibre boom, all designed and built by Perini Navi's Mast Division team. The 1,416m² (15,241 ft²) sail area is clothed in flaming purple, a chromatic effect providing a strong visual impact bound to surprise all traditionalists. Interiors, on the other hand, are based on extreme simplicity and clear lines. Conceived by British architect John Pawson, guru of modern minimalism, interior design is based on the concepts of light, space and proportion.

At the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show 2009, the world’s largest boat show, that will be held from October 29th to November 2nd, Perini Navi will be presenting for sale the 43 meter ketch built in 1989. The yacht is a blue-water sailing ketch also from the noted yacht builder, Perini Navi of Viareggio, Italy. She has outstanding sailing abilities with a 3,300 nautical mile range at 10 kts under power. Such a unique combination coupled with luxurious accommodations yields a yacht able to explore the globe in comfort. Since new, she has had only 2 owners and her present owner has had her for 10 years, maintaining and improving her in an absolute first class manner.
Perini Navi stand will be located at the Face Dock 17 and in the Superyacht Builders and Designers Tent.

Perini Navi, world leader in the design and construction of large sailing yachts, has recently signed two important contracts for the sale of a 50m sailing yacht, and a 73.3m motor yacht of its Picchiotti-Vitruvius® series. Delivery of the 50 m sailing yacht, designed by Perini Navi in collaboration with Ron Holland, is planned for 2012, while the 73.30 m motor yacht, designed by Philippe Briand, will be completed end of 2013.

The Perini Navi Group, which reentered the motor yacht market only two years ago with the relaunching of its Picchiotti brand, celebrates the third contract for the new Picchiotti Vitruvius series. This confirms the extraordinary reception awarded to this new line of motor yachts. The first two models, a 50m and a 55m (ice-class), are currently under construction in the group’s La Spezia facilities.
