The new Perini Navi C2085 is taking shape very well at the yard. This 182 foot long Ketch doesn't have colour as yet however, you can see already that she looks like a luxury sail yacht! The renderings do suggest that she will have a blue hull like most Perinis. Her main mast is very tall in proportion to her length, in fact the main mast is going to be taller than the yacht is long. With a main mast height 193 feet tall, C2085 will look imposing for her size. She is set for delivery in 2007. The Selene is the name for the former hull number of C2085. She indeed did launch pretty much in 2007 as was said. The S/Y Selene was lauched from the covered building dock on the 14th of this month (January). More can be read on the Perinis' website providing you can understand Italian!

Another milestone, if you want to refer to the stepping of Selene's mast as that. That is right, the Selene has recieved her mast now. One step closer to delievery. "The mast stepping of the 56 meter ketch Selene has been successfully completed on January 14th at Perini Navi in Viareggio. The 39th yacht built by Perini Navi has been equipped with two aluminium masts - 58.8m for the main sail and 48.26m for the mizzen sail – and carbon-fibre furling booms supporting a 1,483m2 sail plan."

Can someone positively say where the Perini Navi s/y Selene is registered? I would have thought that she would have been registered and flagged in the Cayman Islands but from what i have seen she is flying my countries' flag, the Barbados flag. Does this mean that she is registered here in Bridgetown?
