Hull C.2126 arrives at Perini's Viareggio facility for finishing
Perini Navi announces the arrival in Viareggio of hull number C.2126. The sailing yacht will be the 48th in the Perini Navi fleet and the 8th in the 56 metre series. The aluminum hull and superstructure were completed at Perini Group's Turkish plant, Perini Istanbul – Yildiz. From there, after a few days' trip across the Mediterranean, they arrived in Viareggio at Perini Navi – Picchiotti's Production Dept.
The wide and versatile interior design is by Perini Navi. Hull and sail plan optimisations were run by Perini Navi naval architects in collaboration with Ron Holland. The 56 m ketch rigged yacht will be equipped with two aluminum masts and carbon fibre booms. It will hold a sail plan of approx. 1,500 square metres. The two Perini Navi masts, main 59m above Dwl, and mizzen 48m above Dwl. Perini Navi electrical furling gear for genoa and staysails. In-boom furling for main and mizzen sails.
Access to main deck is via retractable aft gangway, mooring area, circular staircases down to the aft cockpit. Aft cockpit with dining and lounge area, bar corner, day-head; lateral corridors, and stairs up to flying bridge.
Access to the large saloon: large living area, dining area, central staircase down to the accommodation area. Raised up wheelhouse, fore superstructure peaks, tender recesses, crew exit, liferafts, wavebreaker, windlass and mooring area.
Lazarette with swimming platform steering gear/stowage area. Propulsion control room and engine room. Owner/Guest area: full aft beam Master suite with bedroom, sitting room, walk-in closet and one bathroom with shower stall and tub. Two guests cabins with double bed; one bathroom with shower stall and one bathroom with tub. Two twin beds Guests cabins each with additional Pullman bed with ensuite bathrooms with shower stall.
Large flying bridge with helm and instrument repeaters. Large aft sunbathing area; central hot-tub, two facing corner-sofas, two central cabinets and steering settee; staircase to the wheelhouse. Delivery is scheduled – according to the production plan – in 2010.
