Perini Navi contracts new project "C.2166"
Hull identification number "2166" is one of the latest yachts being built by Perini Navi ITA. She is a 59-meter blue-water sloop with sleek lines and timeless elegance. Modern in design with the Perini Navi trademark, this sloop when completed will be 59-meters of sailing luxury.
At first glance, the renderings appear to suggest that
2166 will be nothing 'over the top' different from their other sloops built. However, closer examination reveals details that will slowly become customary as each new build is completed with them.
For example, the aft stair-case that will flow from the fly-bridge to the aft main deck. This feature has been incorporated on a number of Perini Navi's recent deliveries including the "Tamsen", "Salute" and the
2166's new build sister, 2150 of the same length but she will have a Ketch rig. The aft stair is sure to be a feature in upcoming builds.
Another of the detail features in the
2166 build is the small forward cockpit -if you will- located forward of the mast base. The small space will be fitted with modern outdoor seating and tables to serve. A wooden wrap-rail will compliment the wooden tables. This space forward of the superstructure-though larger-can be seen on Perini's last delivery, the
Salute.
Two roller furlers will spread the genoa and jib at the command of a button while the in-boom main sail will be ready to be deployed at a moment's notice. The mast will be strengthened by the customary back stays and side rigging.
