Perini Navi launches 56-meter "Silvana"
September 22, Perini Navi: "Perini Navi, world leader in the luxury sailing yacht industry, is glad to announce the launching of the 44th unit in the fleet: the double aluminum mast "Silvana". The launching took place during a private ceremony last Saturday, September 20th, in the presence of the owners, the company staff and shipyard workers, united to celebrate the christening of the latest creation.

Silvana boasts an ultra-light streamlined aluminum hull with maximum displacement optimized at 540 tons in order to guarantee both high sailing performances and extreme comfort. Both masts, the 58.8m main mast and the 48.26m mizzen, are also in aluminum, while the furling boom is in carbon fiber. Total sail area is expected to reach 1,500 m².
The interiors, designed by the Perini Navi team, are based on an unobtrusive, classical elegance.
Silvana is the sixth 56m sailing yacht launched by Perini Navi. The first 56m, "Burrasca", was launched in 2003, and was then followed by "Santa Maria" (now "Zenji"), "Rosehearty", "Selene" and "Salute". In the next three years other 5 units will be built in this same series, that is with a similar naval architecture and fully customized interiors.
Besides the 56m series, Perini Navi’s production plan will include a 50m aluminum sailing yacht, two 45m steel sailing yachts, a 38m in special aluminum, two 59m sailing yachts and two motor yachts: a 50m and a 55m in the new "Vitruvius" series, a project that will re-launch the Picchiotti historical brand in the world of pleasure boating."
