New Launch: PJ 150' #5

Palmer Johnson has launched the fifth of their 150' series. The name wasn't visible, but judging by the aqua marine paint job I'd assume she's the new "Vanquish". Can anyone verify that?

She is either the new "Vanquish" or I think she is to be called "Blue Ice".

Hopefully not the "Blue Ice" as referred to in the aviation industry!

Palmer Johnson 150 5

I am pretty sure that this one will be named Blue Ice. Not positive though. Are there any more pictures? Also, could you post it on a photo sharing site so we can all see it bigger. It is a very nice picture you have there.

I have a few more pictures, but I haven't had the time to upload them yet. I'll let you know when I do.

Cover Drive 2?

Any chance this is Cover Drive 2 ? I have a friend who is currently delivering a new PJ from Newport to FL.
(I know this because of Facebook, so I guess this applies to that thread too )

Pj 150 #5

Great I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Ken, to address your question...
There was a Palmer Johnson 135 that came into the forum and the world about a week ago or so. That boat is named Cover Drive 2 and is in Newport right now.

It's official, the new PJ 150' is named 'Blue Ice'. Here she is, downbound in the Welland Canal. Pics are compliments of YF member 'Rodger' and his new camera...

Thanks Rodger!

A friend saw this yacht in the harbour and snapped a few quick shots. I found this post by Googling to get more info on the boat

This is, I believe, my first post. Normally I lurk and learn.

I had the great good fortune to witness "Blue Ice" as it passed through the St. Clair River. I was walleye fishing at the time, and was totally unprepared to see one of my dream yachts serenely passing by.

This picture was took by another member of the Lake St. Clair forum. The structure in the background is the US-side St Clair power plant.

Since they are downbound, that must be the Lambton Generating Station on the Canadian side (The US would have to be on their starboard side).
