Thanks Dan and Angelus. Here are a couple more I got. I still have no idea what they would be doing in Troy. It is quite the ghetto area. You are welcome to use these pics as long as you give me photo credit. I also have them I could send a little higher resolution.

| More of Lady Christine in Troy
Here is a link to a bunch more shots of Lady Christine moored in Troy. http://www.flickr.com/photos/forging...7620017614406/
Not sure I'd agree that Troy is a "slum," but there is no doubt that the presence of such opulence on the waterfront was big news during the city's River Festival that was going on today.
Word was the owner and some guests were flying in to board and take a leisurely cruise down the Hudson. For those not aware, New York is celebrating the 400th anniversary of Henry Hudson's exploration of the river this summer. I don't know if that had anything to do with the Lady being in the area or not.

I did not want to metion 'Guetto' but you all ready did. Take it from the very top...The dark daunting sky line colour, then the old building with broken windows.. then Lady Christine.Even down to the greenary in the foreground. I HONESTLY THINK THIS IS THE BEST PHOTO EVER!!!!! Of this vessel.. Well Done!!!!! I love it!!!!!!

Wow! I am very flattered by this comment. Thank you. I wouldn't know where to begin submitting for this type of machine.

Oceanco may want to use that photo for promotional use. I wouldnt know how to go about doing that kind of thing but im guessing that if you wanted to sell it they would be the ones to talk to.

| Great pictures of the Lady Christine
Love the pictures--absolutely stunning. However, I must take issue with Troy being cited as a "ghetto." Although the downtown/marina area isn't great, the city itself is trying hard to work towards restoring it to some of its industrial age splendor-a long hard journey to be sure. I, too, was amazed to see this beautiful yacht in a place such as Troy, but hope that the owners found something worthwhile to see while here on their visit. Good luck with having one or more of the pics published as suggested.

Let me offer my apologies to those in the area that may have been offended. I guess perhaps 'ghetto' wasn't the best term to use.

Thank you for the lovely close ups of her. Honestly I never paid much mind to "Lady Christine" but after looking at these close up photos, she is a beautiful boat, still very well maintain even after a few years. Does M-BOAT ever leave that pad?

Was wondering from our upstate friends, can Lady Christine fit the locks to proceed into the lake. I was there last year but am drawing a blank as to the size of the locks.

Me Again..Sorry..All these lovely pics and not ONE of the lifeboat launchers.. That last one is a nice shot of the passerelle (boarding Ladder.. At the beginning of this thread I put up some 3D jpegs of the workings. Notice the door is a pantagraph rather than more traditional hinged door. Lets face it,,Who wants to see the inner workings,Lock etc on the back of a hinged door. I went through hours of argument to be allowed to do such a thing as a Pantagraph. Luckily the skipper and or owner agreed. It was done in modular for and is **** near silent. Developed by me and a company in Hamble. This design was then fitted to all the yachts in the fleet afterward. I have no idea it it is still used but I very much doubt it knowing the mentality of some people after the original design team all left. If anyone of the crew,(skipper) are watching this thread can someone please tell me where the jib crane appeared from on the Heli deck.I have no recolection of it being there when she was launched. I am a old man now so maybe it was there. Have a distant memory of having to watch for the overall height of the heli blades when Heli was landing..
Mike..Seen the rest of your fotos.. Nice ,,but,,,,Grave stones??? Whats with that.. Think we have to swap some time.. Will PM you so you can see some of my 'NON YACHT' stuff..
Again..GREAT PICS EVERYONE!!!!! Personally I still think Mikes shot with the greenary in foreground and the old builinding in the backgraound is one of the VERY best Yacht shots on these forukms!!! |

Iwas was scared to think someone could do it as well my friend.. When you stand up there its quite a large area but I would NOT want to be the one landing on the deck even so. 'Al Miqab' (seperate thread under OceaCo' Now that was a much bigger deck..

| NYS Barge Canal Locks
According to the NYS Canal Corporation web site all of the locks can accomodate ships up to these dimensions:
"The area available for vessels within a lock is 300 feet long, 43.5 feet wide."
So lengthwise (182') and across the beam (35') Lady Christine is ok. The depth of portions of the canal system however is only 12 feet so with a draught of 11.5 feet, it could be a close call. According to the crew in Troy, they could go no farther than the Federal Lock, so I guess the answer is no, they cannot travel the canal to the Great Lakes.
