Superstructure of OceAnco's "706" arrives at Alblasserdam
Earlier in the week, the superstructure of the "Y-706" arrived at OceAnco from Aluship. The hull will arrive soon to be joined with the superstructure afterwhich the entire shell will be rolled into the building hall.
Y-706 is an 86-meter design by Nuvolari & Lenard featuring naval architecture by Azure and OceAnco. The interior styling is also the responsibility of Nuvolari & Lenard. She has been designed to take on ocean-going ventures.
She is made with a steel hull and an aluminum superstructure. When completed, her 2 MTU X 4,680 HP engines will power her to a maximum speed of 18.5 knots. A maximum cruising speed is expected to be 14 knots. On the interior, her massive 13.80-meter beam will be voluminous.
Accommodation wise, the combination will be with a master suite, two VIP rooms, two double guest and one double guest cabin. All other accommodation would be catered to the crew. When
Y-706 is delivered in 2010 she will meet the standards set by Lloyds Register +100 A1 SSC Yacht(P) MONO G6 LMC UMS.
