MondoMarine 50M Toy A

With a nickname that says Toy A, one would be interested in this yacht simply to see what she might look like. Toy A is the build name given to a very sleek and beautiful design to be constructed by MondoMarine. MondoMarine has been turning out an excellent crop of megayachts especially for 2007. The Toy A is slated for launch in 2009.

The Toy A is to be built to a design by Studio Vafiadis and every yacht deserves a great interior and this is being fashioned by the same Studio Vafiadis. The Naval Architecture is to be done by MondoMarine and SYDAC.

The Toy A already has an impressive set of technical characteristics. She is to be 50M in length or 165 feet with a beam of 9.10M or 30.03 feet. A modest draught of 2.30M or 7.59 feet completes the physical layman dimensions.

The 50M will weigh over 350 tonnes when fully loaded, however, a maximum speed of 20 knots and an 18 knot cruise speed are still attainable. She is to carry two MTU 12V4000 M90 engines rated at 2,735HP each. With an onboard capacity for 80,000 liters of fuel the Toy A has an effective range 3,300 NM at 12 knots. She will be built from Aluminum construction material.

Accommodation wise, the Toy A will have a range. Starting at a large owners suite to the 5 guest cabins (10 guests). The captain will have his/her own room and the crew will be accomodated in 4 cabins (8 crew).

According to the rendering, she will feature an off-white to sandy color. The color may be subject to change however. Teak is to be the natural outdoor deck treatment. Seating is to be no problem as it is to be bountiful yacht wide. There is to be seating and sunpads on the bow, on the stern decks as well as the flybridge.
