OVERVIEW:
SEAQUESTER was built to the exacting specifications of a long time boating couple who desired the best. Their captain was on hand at the Burger shipyard throughout the project and with the help of Burger’s design team an elegant yacht was achieved. Subsequent sea trials with the objective of achieving maximum performance were successful and SEAQUESTER is one of the fastest of the Burger 85’s afloat.

ACCOMMODATIONS:
SEAQUESTER sleeps six in three double staterooms. The staterooms are accessed via the wood paneled stairway from the main deck salon. At the bottom of the stairway is a central foyer which accesses all three staterooms. The master stateroom is amidship while the two guest staterooms are aft, separated from the aft engine room by the two ensuite heads and a double, watertight and sound deadening bulkhead.

INTERIOR WOODWORK:
The woodwork throughout SEAQUESTER is Anigre, an exquisite hardwood reminiscent of teak but with a slightly lighter tone and a fine, even grain. The woodwork is unstained, however the grain is nicely filled and sealed in a satin finish.

MASTER STATEROOM:
Forward from the stateroom foyer is the master stateroom, with port and starboard cedar walk-in closets outboard. A centerline king sized berth is set against the forward bulkhead with bedside tables and reading lights to each side. Flanking the master berth to port and starboard are beautifully crafted drawer bureaus with abundant storage. Above are opening portlights with custom window treatments. His and hers heads are forward, accessed from either side of the berth. A large, marble lined shower separates the two heads. Floors and countertops in the heads are marble, with under mounted sinks. The master stateroom is furnished with a complete entertainment system and phone set.

GUEST STATEROOMS:
There are port and starboard double staterooms aft from the foyer with arched doorways mimicking the master stateroom entry doors. The port guest stateroom is a VIP cabin, with an athwartship queen berth. The starboard guest stateroom has twin lower berths. Both guest staterooms are furnished with cedar hanging closets, built-in dressers, and integral entertainment systems as well as phone sets. Each cabin has an en-suite marble lined head with shower.

CREW QUARTERS:
The crew quarters are all the way forward, accessed by a stairway from the galley/country kitchen area forward of the pilothouse. At the base of the stairway is the crew laundry area with the crew head and shower to port. The crew cabin is forward with upper and lower berths and a hanging locker opposite. The crew cabin also has its own entertainment center and telephone. The laundry center is in the crew quarters. The crew head is forward with a separate stall shower. There is an escape hatch/skylight to the foredeck from the crew cabin.
MAIN DECK ARRANGEMENT:
SEAQUESTER features the trademark Burger bow with plenty of freeboard and flared bow sections. A large working foredeck is surrounded by enclosed bulwarks with open side decks leading aft to port and starboard sliding doors opening to the yacht’s interior.

The main deck interior is arranged in typical raised pilothouse fashion with galley and dinette forward in a “country kitchen” style. Aft to starboard is the passageway to the midship pilothouse and next aft is the full width main salon with a formal dining arrangement forward and lounge aft. A custom anigre dining table was created by Burger’s craftsmen with an extra leaf which stores beneath the table. Six matching chairs surround the table and two additional chairs are part of the salon furnishings for seating extra guests for dinner. The main deck powder room is to port, forward of the dining area. A wet bar with fridge, icemaker, and storage for stemware is built into the salon’s forward bulkhead. Fully aft is the spacious open aft deck with stairs down to the integral swim platform.

GALLEY
The galley, which is located forward of the pilothouse, is open and pleasant thanks to large windows to port and starboard as well as an opening skylight in the overhead. A granite topped island provides excellent working space in addition to the L-shaped counters built into the aft and outboard bulkheads. Top line appliances and custom stainless steel shelving make the galley an enjoyable environment for owner and crew alike. Forward is an L-shaped banquette with granite topped table for informal dining or for use as a crew lounge. The galley has its own TV and entertainment system as well.

DAY HEAD:
To port, outboard of the wet bar in the main salon. Just aft of the day head is the watertight door to the port side deck.

SALON WET BAR:
Positioned forward in the main salon the wet bar is adjacent to the formal dining area. There is overhead and under counter storage beneath a polished granite counter with an undermounted sink built-in. A glass fronted overhead cabinet for stemware is back-lit lending atmosphere with a rheostat switch. A Sub-Zero refrigerator is concealed below with matching wood trim.

PILOTHOUSE:
Amidship and up a few steps from the main deck level is the spacious pilothouse. A leather upholstered bench seat is built into the aft bulkhead with a pedestal mounted table for navigation or underway meals. The pilothouse affords excellent visibility resulting from wraparound windows and a beautifully designed helm console.

FLYBRIDGE:
SEAQUESTER’s flybridge is accessed by stairs from the pilothouse. The flybridge helm station is centered forward, faced by a built-in helm bench with storage under. To port and starboard are fully functional wing stations to assist in docking maneuvers. At the center of the flybridge area is the radar and antennae mast, mounted atop an island cabinet system which houses a sink and storage cabinetry along with the hydraulic system for raising or lowering the mast. Mast down clearance is 22’ while mast up but with antennae lowered the clearance is 27’. Full height with antennae raised is 33’. With the mast removed from its base the clearance can be reduced to 20’.

Flanking each side of the mast island are built-in bench seats which wrap around aft, with small corner tables port and starboard, pedestal mounted to the deck. Forward to port is a built-in refrigerator with icemaker.

The boat deck aft is easily accessed by a walkthrough between the port and starboard bench seats. The yacht’s tender is mounted fore and aft with a hydraulic crane mounted to port. Dual halogen flood lights mounted on the radar mast provide night time illumination of the boat deck area.

COMMENTS: Inspection of SEAQUESTER is like looking at a new yacht, having been fastidiously maintained by the original owners and their full time crew. A very recent and professionally done exterior paint job coupled with significant updates to furnishings and engine room components will please buyers and surveyors alike. This proven 85' design from Don O'Keeffe is capable of a very respectable cruising speed while at the same time offering excellent range and comfort. The combination of natural woodwork and exquisite detail will impress even the most casual of lookers.
