New Build: Moonen 84' "Amphitrite"
Back in April 2008, Moonen Shipyards in ’s-Hertogenbosch, The Netherlands launched their eighth 84 foot semi-custom model. This 84 footer was delivered to her owners under the name
Amphitrite.
"The Moonen 84 is shaped by René van der Velden Design over a full-displacement hull form by naval architects Stolk Marimecs. In general, Amphitrite is a sistership of the recently launched Moonen 84s, but with some differences elected by her owners."
The interior of Amphitrite was done by Art Line Studios and features "a free-standing sofa in the saloon instead of the more usual built-in, and the owners’ suite has a desk and walk-in closet." Several woods feature on the interior including
cherry in guest accommodations and
doussie in the main saloon.
Like her sisters in the Moonen 84 foot fleet, she has generally similar characteristics. Engines, materials, and principal dimensions generally equate throughout.
