Hi All,

I just returned from an afternoon with a lovely young lady. She's beautiful, refined and very intriguing. I'll give you her complete bio in a few days. For now, I thought you might enjoy seeing her... in her element.

You may wish to note... that's a 140' yacht in the picture, on complete plane, running straight and level...and the outboard edges of the hull are completely aired-out. Even the wake table is trailing behind by 75-100 feet. This is beyond unusual... it's phenomenal.

Not just another pretty face, she has a really big heart too. This is the view down one side of the engine room. These 5000 HP diesels are nearly 15 feet long. On the right side of this picture, you can see the proprietary transmission (the black structure) for the twin turbines.

When she tires of cruising at 45 knots, a little adrenaline is induced into the equation with twin-turbines, connected to a specially built transmission for driving the center pump (one of three). The turbines have never been spooled over 70%. At that power, she has achieved 66 knots.

I saw it at the Lauderdale show... it looks impressive just floating there. I can't imagine how cool it must be at full speed.

As impressive as the new Miillennium is... while she was docked at Bahia Mar for the show, she was flanked by Oceanco's Alpha IV... which literally dwarfed the Millennium.

The size of the Millennium is deceiving. Let's not forget, she is 140' feet in length... a superyacht by any standard! However the clean, smooth and uncluttered approach Staluppi/Mulder have taken with the exterior lines of this yacht, make it appear to be smaller than a yacht of the same size with more traditional lines.

Wait till you see the interior. Oh hell, I can't wait... here's a glimpse! This is the VIP stateroom... not the Master!

She's impressive, I've seen her a couple of times in Holland.. I do agree she looks smaller than she is. She has a pretty tight engine room as well for a 140ft..

She might be impressive looking, however I do not want to think about what would happen when she encounters something solid in the water at those speeds... Or even a big wave for that matter!

This past Mon night, the Travel Channel aired an hour long show, "Million Dollar Yachts." One of the segments included a tour of The World Is Not Enough by none other than John Staluppi as the yacht went out on her trials. Excellent footage of her a high speed, although they couldn't get up to full speed because of steering difficulties.

Other segments included visits to Lady Lola, Delphine, Christina O, and the 113ft Burger Top Times.

I've gotta tell ya... she runs flat-out in 6 footers! You don't feel a thing!! As for hitting something solid... let's hope not. The hull form, at these speeds, would easily deflect a slightly bouyant object. Hitting a stationary/fixed object... that's another story! (for any boat... at any speed)

I spent some time with Staluppi discussing some of the hull and propulsion systems I've developed through the years for high-speed platforms. He was very receptive and we may work together on the 150' project.

You're absolutely right about a tight engine room (given her size). Yet everything has reasonably good access. Actually, the engine room is normal size for a boat this big... there's just ALOT more going on inside the Millennium's engine room!
