The picture was posted as an answer to the question what happens when you hit a wave. If you never been on a long trip with a yacht, you might think it is the same as to see them in port, but I can assure that even the biggest yacht will experience similar sights.

I was also thinking of the latest B+V contract for the Philippe Starck design. She has a wave piercing shape which will without doubt make her look as a surfaced submarine in heavy seas. A picture on a similar design can be seen from Halmatic VT;

Any Idea of the fuel consumption at speed? With all powerplants running, what would be your guess?
