Well, if Eclipse is said to be 'big' then you'd get where I'm coming from. |

"Katara" just returned from a morning at sea, I assume she went to drop her tanks based on the back and forth in line track seen on the AIS. She just dropped anchor in Carlisle Bay.

On a side note, I have been trying to understand "Vava II's" stern platform setup. It is quite complexed and when I was close to her they didn't have it opened and when I was far away they had it opened and I couldn't see...only a side on view. The Vava II shots were taken on two different afternoons with the platform in different positions and configurations. I am still lost.

I don't think saying "Thanks!" is enough for the amount of joy coming from your beauty captures, yet... Thanks alot for those great shots of this eye pleasing marine beast!

Thank you Alfred. I have taken so many photos from all angles of "Katara". I only photograph her now if something extra special stands out about her. Tonight she changed her lights blue which I have not seen in a REALLY long time. I think it is the first time since being here and she has been here since early to mid February. Additionally, I have not seen her central boarding platform in use at night. Never knew it had the three downlights illuminating it from the recess, cool!

She is still out in the Bay with alot of her toys displayed. The EC155 is not onboard either. The crew are probably bored.

Heli has returned...
An interesting thing I noticed. When the heli was coming in initially, they seemed to had to abort, then a few crew members ran out onto the helipad...the helicopter turned around and hovered very low over the ocean. Right after that happened one of the RIBs and one of the Limos left "Katara" and sped out to the low-hovering helicopter. Few minutes after that they made some altitude for the final approach to the pad.

Are there many landing locations on the Island for the helicopter?

There is a pad in town where tour helicopter company (Bajan Helicopters) used to operate from, that's gone defunct now so I do not think that pad is in use. There's the airport of course and I think they land on the runway and roll/taxi like a plane to their spot. There is the pad at Port St. Charles in the north of the Island. Not sure if Port Ferdinand will have one when completed. There may well be other ones at private mansions here as well.

Great coverage Ron, yeah really interesting and I guess dramatic.
