Just Pulled In Sint Maarten, Caribbean

I'll start with photos of the yachts which arrive here in Sint Maarten, Netherlands Antilles for the winter season. Here is Excellence III an Abeking & Rasmussen which arrived on Wednesday afternoon and is departing Thursday morning.

The "bridge bar" is one of mine. Spinnaker Bar & Grill.

What happened to the St. Maarten Yacht Club? That was the only way I could find the bridge opening!

It hurts when they move your way points.

Be on D Island In March

March. Heineken Regatta!!!!

Heineken Regatta SXM

275 boats in the regatta plus a couple hundred cruisers. Not to forget the 100 plus Megayachts and the aircraft. BBJ's, 767, 757, GV, GIV, GIII, GII,
Global Express, Challanger, Citation, Falcon 900, 50, 20 and on and on.

If you don't like March then try New Years Eve here or St Barths.

There are several fireworks shows La Samana, Marigot and Orient Beach on the French side with Maho and Philipsburg on the Dutch Side. Pick a spot on the Dutch side, easier traffic.

From what I read La Samanna is a nice hotel... are there fun bars in the same area to visit, or is it purely the hotel which is the attraction?
