I've NEVER seen or heard anything about this Lady Iris, are you sure it's a Burger Yacht?
It's not that I don't trust your info, but I'm a big fan of Burger, and over the years I've seen a few of them here in Lake Michigan and in Ft. Lauderdale while on vacation, and I have to say this is by FAR the weirdest looking-looking Burger design I've ever seen.
Except for the new Sycara coming out next year, it seem that Burger's in-house styling has always been consistent with a certain "classic look" and from what I see in this picture, this looks more like a Broward than a Burger.
Does anyone in the forum have any further info on Lady Iris? LOA, year built, previous names, refit maybe???
Neil keep up the good work buddy, great pics, I think we all whished we were there too. You are going to see a lot more yachts there for New Year's, keep posting your excellent pics.

I Cruised over to Lady Iris this morning, at Port de Plaisance and spoke with the Captain, YES it IS the Burger mentioned in the article linked above. She was finished in 1991 and "heavily" customized.

OK, Gotcha.
That's probably why not a lot of people have heard of Lady Iris, she was left unfinished when the previous owners of Burger shut down the plant, eventually finished and "heavily" customized.
I wonder if it would be posible to see a few more pics of her. Thanks Neil.

I WISH I WAS THERE RIGHT NOW, i'm getting gale force winds here in Long Beach, already had 1 35' sailboat blown onto the rocks, they called vessel assist reporting engine problems, VA told them, you got sails, use them, in 40+ knots of wind, ur weekend warrior sailor noramally cannot handle winds this strong, they ended up on the rocks with VA pulling them off, they better get a free tow bill for that one.

| Attessa
Neil, if any crew from this fine yacht stumble through your establishment, and their tongues get a waggling on grog, it would be nice to know if she’s ever coming back to her home port of Vancouver or have we lost her forever to the Med/Carib shuffle?
