Sad about Seaspan Chinook going down, it was a familiar landmark on the way to the Ski Hill, the word is that they will salvage her.
Hopefully step up the maintenance this time around.

Nope, I can't see Evergreen from my place, but she' undergoing re-fit.

MS is one of the nicest ones I've seen. During the summer's "wooden boat festival" you can go aboard and check her out.

Not sure who the builder of Cowboy is, but she's a nice Explorer Yacht, and ya, they are from Texas.

Cowboy

I'm 99% sure that Cowboy was built under the old Cape Horn Trawlers banner. This was the Canadian-based company started by Pete Sever. The company was later sold to the owner of a boat being built by Cape Horn. Cape Horn later closed its doors. Mr. Sever has resurrected the company under the name Cape Horn Expedition Yachts (http://capehornexpeditionyachts.com/) and has based the company in Croatia. Cowboy had a custom fishing cockpit extension added to the standard 65 foot design.

I'm sure the unlucky get the odd one, it would be like a Orangutan in your kitchen.
But with the price of Fuel, I may be shooting more wildlife than Yachts.

Cowboy may have started a new class of boat; "Expedition/sportfisher"!

Cowboy/Nordhavn

Well Cowboy and Cape Horn may welcome your credit for that title, but Nordhavn certainly has jumped on this idea and literally call their new vessel the Nordhavn Expedition Yachtfisher. She’s 75 feet long and will supposedly have a range of 3,000 to 4,000 miles according to the website. Check out (http://www.nordhavn.com/75/overview.php). According to Nordhavn, “Hull #1 is on schedule for completion in Spring ’08. The first three hulls have been sold. Hull #4 is available at a base price of $4.2 million and will delivery in early 2009.”

This conversion is OK but desn't quite have the lines like Midnight Sun's
Unique boat though. It does'nt look familiar, could you pick out her name?

Last time I was in Maple Bay, was in the 1980's.
We entered the races in the Dingy class, after a night of drunken stupidity, we came in last, beaten by a windsurfer on the last leg.
The bigger wooden boat show is here...

A much smaller Evergreen than the one being worked on across the bay! (Although it's now called Attessa III)
Who designed Senses? It looks kind of funny.
Are you noticing more yachts appearing in Coal Harbour now?
