Welcome, outmywindow, to YF.
That is one stupendous view you enjoy.
While I have never heard of Coal Harbor, I suppose, with all the big-boat action you are witnessing, your little slice of heaven will soon cease to be a secret.

The Pacific Northwest, spectacular Gulf Islands and countless inlets all the way north to Alaska. Many mariners say that it may be the #1 destination for Yachting, only second to the Caribbean in the winter months.

Beautiful BC is no secret to many boaters.
It starts north of Seattle and stretches for hundreds of miles until Alaska.
BC includes the cities of Victoria, Vancouver, Naniamo, Campbell River, and Prince Rupert with many small towns and the Inside Passage along the way.
Discovered by British and Spanish explorers in the 1700's for fur trading it now has a population of around 4million. It has the mildest climate in Canada.
And we love it!

Glad to see you got a picture of Twizzle. I have been following her up the west coast for the past few months and was hoping that she would visit Saltspring this year. You have some great shots on your web site.

Add my name to the Welcome Wagon! You must have one of the best views in the world for yacht watching. I'd imagine there are a number of good places in Monaco, but one of my favorites is from the brokerage office of Scott Jones, the tower that is smack-dab on the dock at Bahia Mar.
BTW... if we ever include a telephoto lens in the rewards program, you're the instant winner! Glad you joined. |

You're probably taking these from the Guinness tower?
I'd like to know what the "LGB" is. It looks like a gigantic explorer yacht or am I way off here?
I am expecting "Barchetta" (the new 157' Christensen) and "Souvineir" (85' Queenship) to head north this summer.
It would be great if you could let us know if you see them in Vancouver.
Thanks,
Brian

Well, Brian, in the pics that OutMyWindow so kindly posted you would see two pics of LGB's big tender....i think it is called Sirius A?...If i remember correctly that is carried on the Starboard side of Le Grand Bleu....as was sited, Le Grand Bleu was practially Mr A's Toy carrier. Sirius A, the sailboat on the Port side, two Helpads...one Midships and the other Aft... some RIB's and a barrage of kyaks and small sail craft!
