Who designed Senses? It looks kind of funny.
Are you noticing more yachts appearing in Coal Harbour now? |
- I think it's going to be Attessa IV
- Senses was built in Germany by Schweers, somewhat similar to the much larger LGB.
- Hard to say if the traffic has calmed, still early in the season, but I would expect it to slow down, for obvious reasons.

Oh yes, Attessa IV. Sorry.
I guess with Senses, maybe it would look better with a higher bow?
We got away on the weekend to enjoy our waters here.
Attached is a view from South Thormanby Island.
It was a nice day...

For all visiting Yachts, here is the new upcoming marina that will help large Yacht docking availability downtown. Also situated in Coal Harbour and part of the new 1Million + square foot Convention Centre.
Everything should be completed within 2 years or less.

More on the expansion... http://www.vccep.bc.ca/
Seems odd then that fuel barges are closing, doesn't it?
Hope there's replacements in the future plans.

Hay, isn’t there a nice sandy beach on the other side of that Island you were at?.
The station that is slated for closing is the one under the Burrard Bridge in False Creek.
The big floating Chevron is still in CH and not going anywhere.
Every time I look at the Convention Centre, all I see is rising property taxes.

Here's a rendering of the future Marina and Float Plane terminal.
Also; Shine, Solaia (I think, hard to make out name), and best of all, a Wood Duck.

Something fascinating about that vessel. Any chance of catching it under sail?

It sure is, by far the most interesting sailboat I've ever seen. Everywhere you look there is intricate mill-work, right back to the graceful wooden seal on top of the rudder.
Here's another pic I took when she was docking, and under full sail compliments of monacoeye.

Thank you.
De Vrouwe Christina has a beauty that is derived from function and that seems to be rare.

Well, the fuel prices aren't keeping the Charter boats at bay, I'm thinking $200 a barrel may do it, or not...
