St. Maarten info needed.

My wife surprised me with a trip to St. Maarten. We are going down March 15th for a week with my best friend & his wife. I have not been there in MANY years and just wondered what to see & do. We are staying on the French side in a small resort. I will not have my boat there & I wonder if I'll be able to hang out on a beach for a week. I might go out of my mind.
Anyway, what do you suggest for nightlife, restaurants etc..

ps......If you have a boat down there, I'll go clean it for you at no charge, just make sure to leave it full of fuel
Thanks! David

Hi Dave,

Generally, I'd agree with you. I'd go out of my mind hanging out on a beach, but lately... vegging in a beach chair sounds pretty good. One of our members (PSDO) visits St. Maarten every year and brings back lots of pictures for us... including a few he can't post. Drop him a PM. I'm sure he'll have some good suggestions to keep you from loosing your mind.

Wish I could join you.

St. Barth's

If time permits, I would definitely recommend a day trip to St. Barth's. You can take a ferry, but you won't ever forget the landing there. Have lunch at one of the beach resorts (Nikki Beach Resort is a memorable one).
A Day trip to Saba is also very nice (excellent diving)
Best bet for food is Grand Case in the northwest.
Have a great trip!
