Hi Ken,

I have spent 2 seasons cruising Newfoundland and Nova Scotia, fantastic cruising. If you have a general itinerary, pass it on and I'm happy to add some interesting stops along the way.

I spent 7 weeks in the Canadian Maritimes last summer (New Brunswick, Pei, Nova Scotia).

Nova Scotia highlights were Lunenburg, Peggy's Cove, Pictou, and Halifax. When in Halifax, stop by Murphy's on the Water - owner of Theodore Tugboat and give regards to Capt. Peter Murphy. Cabot Trail is a must do car trip. Baddek interesting.

PEI is also a must do. Try to do some of the provisioning by driving past local farms and buying the veges and fruits direct from the field, especially the famous PEI potatoes.

Thumbs up to all suggestions previously mentioned in this post.

Check on the rules for liquor on entry. I made for some very happy border inspectors.

Fantastic So Far

We have now been in Nova Scotia for a week and plan to stay for another few days. So far we have been to
Halifax- Sackville Landing to clear customs
Bras d'Or Lake- Great dinner at the Cape Breton Smokehouse. We took over the entire place for the night. Then went on to Baddeck where we visited a great Alexander Graham Bell Museum and then on to Fortress Louisbourg.
Now we are about miles up Country Harbour where we have created quite a stire- I've just finished an interview with the local News Paper.
Next stop will be Campobello in New Bruswick. Minnow- we were planning to come up to your neck of the woods, but the weather has us delayed a couple of days.
Great Great Great Cruising and wonderful people!

glad to hear you are enjoying some of our Maritime hospitality. Are you heading south again after Campobello or are you going to venture up the Bay of Fundy to Saint John?

I am in SJ and if there is anything i can do to help don't hesitate to ask.
