| just moved to Monaco area!
I just got here last week, staying in Beaulieu sur mer, just down the road from Monaco.
Any clues on good hang out in Monaco for english speaking yachty types!
A few of my old mates are skippers but they're not in port for a while,
cheers
Alex

Hi Alex,
Try Stars and Bars right on the port in Monaco on the inside south corner. There are a lot of other places too and most people there speak english. You will meet some new people at Stars an Bars and they will fill you in as to other places to go.
If you are driving a car, make sure you drive exactly by the rules. The cops there don't think much is funny and you are on video everywhere.
Right there in Beaulieu sur mer down by the marina, and Monaco Marine there are some restaurants with outside tables, great food and a pretty cool place to hang out.
Also, there is a good radio station in English, Riviera Raido 106.5. It is directed quite a lot towards yachties and will let you know about happenings and parties around the area.
Have fun! It's a pretty cool place!

Hi, right now Monaco is pretty busy (and pricey) with the Grand Prix, but the time after this and before the summer tourist season is nice. For reservations at the S&B and the restaurant on 1:st floor, here we are: STARS 'N' BARS +377 97 97 95 95, FUSION ON THE PORT +377 97 97 95 90, 6 QUAI ANTOINE 1ER, 98000 MONACO
There are also some nice places in the Ports of Fontvieille and Cap d´Ail.
Re driving, always stop for pedestrian crossings and never rev your engine. Drive nice, polite and smooth and all will be happy with you. And don´t use your cellphone when driving!

...for people who come in Monaco, except S&B, you got lovely places at Fontvieille Port too (only five minutes by foot), and if you got a car (you can even get there by train, the railway stations are very close to the spots) you can go to Cap d'Aïl or Beaulieu with a great selection of restaurants on the port, my favorites are in St Jean Cap ferrat.Villefranche is a nice place too.Be careful to speed limit (police controls at Beaulieu exit).
Spoken languages : French, Italian, English, Russian (I even think that Russian is the most used language after French and Italian !!!)
Riviera radio is a nice station for information; for music I prefer RMC 2, I've never heard such beautiful music on a radio station, try it ! For discos, you got Jimmy's in Monaco (or Cannes), lovely places in Juan les Pins too (choice of discos), so, dear visitors : have a lot of fun !

I watched the cycling Tour De France in Monaco on TV this afternoon...and you know what...I have seen S/Y INDEPENDANCE and M/Y SS DELPHINE anchoring in Monaco between Hercule and Larvotto
