Fairline Yachts
Fairline Yachts is a major player in the yacht manufacturing business in Europe. Using an extensive dealer network, Fairline exports 90% of their sales. Oundle, England is the location of the three sites that Fairline uses to construct their three ranges of motor yachts. A test center is located in Ipswich. The yachts range from a 34 foot long express cruiser to 74 foot long luxury yachts, along with a line of yachts designed specifically for long range cruising. Careful attention is paid in every aspect of Fairline’s yacht building process. Unusual woods are polished with up to eight coats of lacquers, and the grain of the wood must flow smoothly over the curves. Fairline also incorporates a lengthy hand lay-up procedure for GRP, resulting in lightweight and durable hulls.
