Lurssen "Kismet" to attend 2008 Monaco Yacht Show
According to YF editor Chuck Gnaegy, the Lurssen "Kismet" represents opulence. "“Opulence” is a measure of status, especially in the yachting community, and, paired with excellent taste, often defines the character/impression of the yacht itself, as well as its designers, builders, and owners.
Rarely, even the highest standards are exceeded; surpassed by the superiority of a new introduction. Yet, given the hallowed heights reached by Lurssen’s 68.15-m Kismet, the loftiest adjectives are, perhaps, inadequate. To call her... impressive, is simply the grandest understatement."
The 68-meter Kismet was built by the German yacht builder Lurssen. She is a of steel and aluminum construction and totes an aggressive metallic grey hull and accents. Sweeping arches in the design further connotes a mixture between feminity and masculinity.
The Reymond Langton interior is another atmosphere to the Kismet. Melding contemporary and modern features allows for an interesting interior setting. The interior is neither overpowering -cluttered- nor underdressed. The vision of the stylist and owner resulted in a perfect mixing of materials throughout the yacht.
Kismet was at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS) where the United States and Caribbean basin got the chance to see her in the flesh. Now she is to attend another prestigious show on the other side of the pond, the 2008 Monaco Yacht Show (MYS). This is a chance for the European community to see her.
If the big cast of names are anything to go by, the 2008 Monaco Yacht Show will be certainly one of the biggest shows for the year. Kismet will be one of those big names when Lurssen presents her at the 18th edition of the show. Kismet will be at Berth T04 at the September 24-27 show.
