Hi,

The initial short trials a new yacht does from Lurssen or Abeking are known as River trials.

This enables the yards to make sure everything is working before they steam all the way out past Bremerhafen only to find that it doesn't.

The managing company for Phoenix2 confirmed that she has been lengthened to 90.5m.

Lurssen is also building a new 90m project being called Global. She appears to be an evolution of Valerie (which, imo, was an evolution of TV (Madsummer)).

Besides these yachts, this company is also responsible for Bellissimo, Palmer Johnson's World, and Damen's Garcon.

I think Project Island might have been Martha Ann because I have not heard anything about a 70m new build at Lurssen and that project has been there for a long time. Newscot has also been on the website for years but that I believe is under construction, considering that the current Northern Star is for sale and this is what happened with Polar Star as well.

Digging a bit deeper, it appears that Blellissimo may actually end up being 90m.

Maybe , but I am shure that the projectname of Martha Ann was 'Shark'.

Justus is correct, "Martha Ann" was project Shark in build.

Yes, I remember now but I still doubt there is a fourth in that series in build.

In my opinion, Phoenix² was better before the refit.

The swimming platform it's just too big.

Yea it really kills the flow of the design. I never really liked the Phoenix on the front as well. To me, it looks like a somewhat tacky hood ornament.

Looking at the new rendering of Project Niki, it seems as though she will be a very nice design. I doubt that she will keep the metalic silver color on the hull and superstructure. The exhaust is very similar to Phoenix². I really like the placement of the pool on the bridge deck.
