News that the newbuild for 2010 has been officially named "Katie-Sue II". This was the rumoured project name for this build. This 60-meter new yacht is a sister to the "Linda Lou" and "Arkley" and will be launched in the Summer of 2010. She will have a vertical mast unlike the raked mast of the others.

    "Blind Date" Incentives

Incentives being offered for "Blind Date"(s). In order to lure the sales of the two Blind Dates, both the Lurssen and the Trinity, incentives are being initiated. If the Trinity "Blind Date II" is sold, 14 days of charter will be granted towards her. On the other hand, if the Lurssen Blind Date is sold, 7 days of charter will be propagated. Remember the Lurssen Blind Date is asking 12.95-Million Pounds whilst Blind Date II is asking 36.25-Million USD.

The highly publicised auction of the Lurssen "Apoise" has now been completed. She was sold for 46-Million in that recent auction in the Cayman Islands held by the Ritchie Bros.

    Hi,

That is actually a pretty fair price for that boat IMO.

    Thanks K!W!
  12. 1.so, what is 'NB13662' still berthed at shipyard today?
I really don't think she left already. Eclipse is said to be mid May there also, but still exactly the same behind Dock 12, you know. Anyway they expanded themselves buying the installations of what was ex-Feeder Shipyard nearby, 5km only in Weser. Less commercial ships, more yachts, 130specialists kept with their jobs. More news in other webs: Rolandwerft Shipyard / Hegemann Group.

    2. About the exterior design 'Radiant', well apart all rest nice, actually i think in some way all side windows are fussy in shape and distribution for a first global view. Maybe a mirrored glass or black one panels covering all side in strips could have been avoided that. Pelorus is still upper in that quesite, ... seemed not with old owner.

NB 13662 is a navy vessel for Brunei. Radiant left Bremen one week ago - at her berth now Crystal is moored.
  14. ^ interesting. Thanks for the explanation and my elucidation. I am ignorant 100km north from you... :) Is Crystal this 5695?

Recently, I was reliably informed that a 60-meter mega yacht will launch from Lurssen tomorrow or during the next few days. Possibly this maybe the "Katie-Sue II" that I refered to above some time ago or Project "Dumar" or of that class? We will see...

Also there is news that Lurssen has started work on a yacht that is to eventually be larger than "Eclipse". Again, we will see how that goes...

I wonder if Eclipse will add a "d" to the end of her name when a larger launch takes her first place standing?!

So as I alluded and suspected earlier, the "Katie Sue II" was launched on Monday. Any one who can capture photos are welcomed to post. If posting, please do so with the forum's guidelines on picture size in mind -640 X 480 pixels-.

Thanks Leveller :) Your first photo there shows in the background what looks to be the fourth 60-meter in project "Coco".

On a side note, the 2004 Lurssen "Phoenix" has been sold just in time for the new Lurssen 2010 "Phoenix2" to be delivered after sea trials and final works.

This is the new yacht on her way back to the builder a few days ago after sea trials...
