Who signs my coursebook? (OOW)

Hi,
After various jobs on various yachts i've now got a skippers position on a motor yacht. I have been working towards my OOW qualification and after that hopefully MOY. My question is now that i'm skipper, who can sign my record book for OOW. Can i sign it myself? Is there a quicker way to gain OOW now that i'm skipper? I've tried contacting MCA a couple of times but am not getting much help or info there. Any comments or advice appreciated.

You can sign it off yourself as you are the responsible person. Demonstrations are done to the crew rather than vise versa. You will need a letter from the owner stating he is satisfied you are fit to sign off your TRB.

Best of luck
