RYA changes

RYA are due to change the Powerboat Level 2 certification and will come into force mid April, the new certificates will be 100mm x 80mm and will have your passport photo on it and will have a RYA hologram making it harder to reproduce as in the past the old certificate’s have been reproduced for the black market and used in the drug industry, also on the back of the certificate it will be translated into 13 languages.

The new certification is a web-based system for registering powerboat Level 2 students and the RYA holding a central data base of students and the RYA them self’s been able to verify lost certificate’s and not the school as it stands now.

It is also due to expand to include their cruising, advanced powerboat and personal watercraft certificates in the near future.
