Review: Johnson Yacht Pilothouse 87'

LOA: 87’
Beam: 23’ 6”
Weight: 70 tons
Power: twin 1500 hp MTU/CATS
Generator: twin 32 KW Northern Lights

Cruise: 18 knots
Max: 25 knots

Something about the water in this picture and the amount of lift this hull developes, makes it look like a remote control boat. It doesn't do the Johnson justice...

This running shot clearly shows the design elements of some of the more recent mega-yacht launches...

This aft-quarter running shot shows the split-mast arch, again reminiscent of larger yachts. Notice the removable railings. Hatteras has adapted (on a custom basis) a similar system. Functional and modern...

The Johnson 87' Flybridge. The wrap-around dash conforms to the 180 degree panoramic view.

This is the salon on the 87' Johnson. Nicely appointed.

One of the best features of this yacht... the on-deck master suite. No climbing stairs to raid the fridge in the middle of the night! Also note, the 180 degree panoramic forward view from the bed and a television console the size of most main salon entertainment centers.
