Horizon Yachts: Horizon 74 PH Vision: The Horizon Group have added its newest member to its fleet of models. This time it is the 74 foot Pilot House Vision. According to Horizon, the yacht successfully conducted her first sea trials on May 7th, 2008. With the trial, a speed of 26 knots was realized.
The concept for the 74 is a direct evolution from the 68 Vision and has allowed for greater capability. President of Vision Shipyard, Austin Lin, hopes that by adding a fishing cockpit to the 74 that owners will be able to enjoy the duality of a fisher as well as a boating recreation "By adding a central bait tank, and changeable colorful LED lights in the stern."
The CAT C32 engines allowed the yacht to attain top speeds of 26 knots without neglecting comfort, stability and steering functions. The engines worked well and showed her 17 guests onboard for the sea trial, a taste of things to come.
