Stylist J C Espinosa was tasked by Horizon Yachts to create a sumptuous styling for the new 130’ Horizon-Premiere series of yacht. The first mega yacht in the series was launched in early December, 2007. In fact she was launched on December 8th and according to Horizon, she bares the name ‘Miss Rose.’

The exterior appearance of Miss Rose is certainly appealing. With a striking blue hull and a gleaming white superstructure, she commands your attention. She sits pretty and at an aggressive angle as if to say, “I am ready to take on the ocean.” Her overall square and subtly curved body is accentuated by the flat and straight lines of the superstructure. On the other hand, forward curving deck supports are complimented by the forward curving hardtop.

According to Horizon Yachts, “After one year of waiting, the first Premier 130 touched water in this month.” This is a great accomplishment for Horizon Yachts and just over eleven days after launch, Miss Rose completed a successful bout of sea trials. Her performance was note worthy and is testament to the power package she has.

Miss Rose carries on board, 2 X CAT C32 engines, each pushing over 1,800 HP. With this kind of power, she was let loose on sea trials and attained a maximum speed of 18 knots. A cruising speed of 14 knots was maintained on about half her power plant capability. The 130’, Miss Rose, has ocean crossing range at slower speeds. At 14 knots, her 11,000 gallons of fuel will push her about 1,400 NM. However, at 11 knots, the range can be extended to as much as 3,300 NM.

Her interior spaces are just as impressive. Miss Rose features a capacious interior where main saloon, galley, dining region and accommodation fits. The accommodation boasts of not one but two full-beam master staterooms! There are also two VIP-type staterooms as well, sure to entice the guests at anytime. Not to forget, there are quarters and spaces for the hard working crews.

Finally, collaboration between J C Espinosa of Florida and Horizon Yachts resulted in a sumptuous design that is the Miss Rose. Launched on December 8th 2007, she has already completed sea trials and minor work. Miss Rose is on course for a mid- January, 2008 delivery to her owners.
