FIRST LAUNCH OF THE NEW 4400 SERIES
Heesen Yachts is pleased to announce the first launch of its new 4400 Series (144’). On June 8th, “Sedation” was launched and christened by the owner’s daughter. This is the 136th yacht launched at the Heesen Shipyard. The Naval Architect is Heesen Yachts and the Exterior Designer is Omega Architects. “Sedation” is classed ABS X A1 Yachting Service AMS Large Commercial Yacht Code LY2 / MCA. It has an aluminum hull and aluminum superstructure. Six yachts of this 4400 Semi-Custom Series have already been sold and Hull #7 is available and listed in the yard production schedule.
Once in the water, “Sedation” showed her wonderful design and elegance. These distinct lines, coupled with extreme comfort and the high quality workmanship that Heesen is known, for account for the incredible success of this series.
“Sedation” can accommodate besides the master cabin, up to ten guests in the four lower deck cabins (2 VIP and 2 doubles) and Sky Lounge convertible into another VIP cabin on the Upper Deck. The Master cabin is situated on the main deck forward .
The interior design is by Omega Architects, whose partnership with the yard continues with the unique success of any new model. The Omega designer worked closely with the Owners to create a unique ethnic style introducing the use of textured crushed bamboo combined with straight interior details. The combination of design elements creates a relaxed, elegant atmosphere throughout the yacht.
Two MTU 16V 4000 engines deliver a maximum speed of 26 knots. Extra comfort is provided by the two fixed-fins stabilization at anchor system. Heesen Yachts continues its reign as the premier builder in aluminum motor yachts in the 37 meter (121’) to 55 meter (180’) range.
