May 29, 2007 – Heesen Yachts is pleased to announce the signing of their largest yacht to date. This 55 meter (180’) semi-displacement with a beam of 9.9 meters will deliver in 2011. The Naval Architect is Heesen Yachts and the Exterior Design in by Omega Architects. The Interior Designer is Larvor Interior Design.
It is significant that this yacht is aluminum hull and superstructure. For its size, this will be one of the fastest boats at 24 knots. The engines are 2xMTU 16V 595 TE90. It has zero speed stabilization.
This 55 meter will be one of the most cutting edge yachts ever built at Heesen Yachts and will be classified ABS A1 Yachting Service AMS, Large Commercial Yacht Code LY2.
