I can agree with you on that. On the 100 m study I call "B L I N G" on the Forums, the main deck where this boat is as widest, the ceiling is about 4 meters as well. Both to get the right proportions and to allow more daylight coming in towards the center of the rooms.
Another nice feature I have seen is on the 62 meter Feadship Virginian where they have slightly vaulted ceilings to get an airy and marine feeling in the main saloon.
