Hi,

What a great looking boat.

It sure does have a few of the timeless looks of a Diana Yacht Design that was popular about 25 yrs ago.

Mirgab towed in today

The Mirgab is back at the yard, probably for warranty and/or upgrade work. It was difficult to get her trough the shallow waters around Monnickendam.

Some news out of Hakvoort yard for you! It's concerning their newly expanded building shed and slipway.

Quote:
The new slipway allows us to build superyachts of 58 x 10.60 metres. Having raised the roof of its main construction shed by two metres in 2009 to build four-deck vessels, the yard’s new slipway opened in January 2012.

Offering a maximum lift of 1000 tonnes, the slipway allows Hakvoort to build superyachts of 58 x 10.60 metres. This is part of the yard’s strategy to steadily grow in order to build larger yachts. “We are now in a position to bid for new 50-metre-plus projects for delivery in early 2014,” says Klaas Hakvoort. “Our yard is highly competitive in this size bracket due to our lean overheads and very high quality levels.

I don't know if this thread is the right one for this info but it is the most lively about Hakvoort I guess:

M/Y My Trust got sold few month's back after being listed on Fraser Yachts website, it is now M/Y My Trust Fund. Maybe 30mils do need a trust fund!

Cheers.

While we're at it... The helipad looks like that of Pelorus, but it is poped-up unlike the resessed version on Pelorus (Probably because of the size difference), and I feel the bridge here is less rounded and covered more. Again, dictated by the size.

Along with the announcement of the new flagship of the Hakvoort line, a 61-meter superyacht, a few interior pics have surfaced.
