New Build: Hakvoort 48-meter
Solaia in the year 2000, Flamingo Daze in 2004, JeMaSa in 2006, the Perle Bleue in 2007. These are just a few of the many popular launches from the Hakvoort yard in the last 7 years. Continuing on this success is a new 48-meter from Hakvoort code named BN 243. According to Hakvoort, the 243 is to be slightly longer than 48.50 meters and spans a beam of 9.14 meters.
Construction is steel and aluminum. Steel has been chosen to build the hull and aluminum for the superstructure. The full package has been put together by Diana Yacht Design. The task for the exterior style has been given to Glade Johnson and team. Meanwhile, the interior is by Sinot Yacht Design.
With these very successful designers, the 243 will be brought together and powered up by twin MTU, M60R Engines. For a 500 tonne displacement yacht, these engines will give her a speed of nearly 13 knots. With a fuel capacity of 13,000 gallons, a significant range is expected.
The accommodation plan has called for a full beam master stateroom on the Sun Deck. The main accommodation for 14 guests will be in 7 double cabins. Each of these will feature ensuite bathroom facilities. The captain and 9 crew members will be accommodated in 6 cabins.
