GB 72 Aleutian RP

Classic lines, warm and traditional interiors tend to describe a Grandbanks trawler yacht. This inviting description is not withheld from the GB 72' Aleutian RP. The Aleutian series from Grandbanks seems to be a pretty propular model among the trawler fans out there and should be! Even though the 72' has been around for a little while it should be highlighted more.

Some technical specifications include:

LOA :71.11 feet
LWL :64.44 feet
BOA :19.10 feet
Draught :5.4 feet
Displacement :111,000 lb
Max Speed :26 knots

The GB72' is the largest, according to the website, of the Grand Banks. Cruising in style, comfort and luxury is what a Grand Banks model is about. The GB72' offers a bit more than the model under her- the 64'/5' RP- and it is all about extra space and room.

This extra space is evident on the GB 72'. Moving to the interior, three staterooms await the guests. With the standard layouts four heads, three private en-suite, and one semi-private head and shower are possible. The highlight is the full beam master stateroom. Here is a link to the Deck Plans:

Moving to the exterior, there is also more space available over the 64'. On the main aftdeck, there is space for socializing and eating, seating is plentiful. Moving upstairs, you will find the flybridge and the expanded aft deck. The expanded aft deck allows for storage of a tender or other toys depending on your preference.

The flybridge is spacious. Seating is plentiful and the views are amazing. Two perferated wooded tables service the seating area, inviting a bite and a drink. Forward of this deck is the actual console and open-air control station for the GB72'. On the Starboard side of the console is a hatch for access to the deck below.

The overall look of the GB72' is nice and classically lined. Again, comfort is given with spacious rooms and the owner or fortunate guest can indulge in the full beam master. The exterior decks are enlargened over the GB 64' and this gives more space and comfort. For more visit GrandBanks wesite at:
