I will be in Jupiter at the end of this month for the Barrett Jackson Auction and would like some suggestions where I can see some great yachts plus if possible a few trusted names of brokers in the area. I will take in Capt Tom;s suggestions and Pier 66 but I need a real yacht fix to last a life time. |

Talkingstone,
A short ride south of Jupiter is Palm Beach and the city docks always have a selection of fine yachts. Then as Loren says Pier 66 and also Bahia Mar in Lauderdale will be full at this time of year.
For an interesting change of pace come by Bradford Marine to see some of these beauties hauled or getting paint jobs, I can give you a tour if I am available. If you can not get to Fort Lauderdale, Rybovich might have some megas on the hard.
For that matter, if any other YF readers want to stop by the World's Largest Undercover Yacht Repair Facilty, get in contact with me.

I think if you entice Carl to sit for a few hours out his back door (of course, alcohol will be involved), you may see all the yachts you want.
Why not stay for the Palm Beach Boat Show on Mar 22-25? Also, many yachts in Palm Beach like Yachtbrokerguy said. Rybo yard, town dock, etc. all the way down to Ft Laud and beyond. You can spend your entire trip getting a yacht fix. Drop me an IM with your dates.
Tucker, I'm working on approval to do the piece as we discussed a while ago. Just did one on Rybo in the latest issue

Thanks Yachtluver,It is a nice try to answer but still leaves alot open to interpretation.I bet we can narrow it down some more although it will probably just turn into a list of numbers.LOL

I have seen boats that are pleasure craft over 75 feet that are dirty, need paint jobs, with messy engine rooms, tattered American flag at the bow staff, fenders trailing while underway........boats.
I have seen boats in the 40' plus size that are immaculate, varnish glistening, teak looking good, windows and stainless are spotless, canvas and covers are new.......yachts.

Carl,
Out of curiosity and for an additional post, what's the breakdown of members? How many of us are above and below 100 posts?
