Inside passage communications

We will be cruising the Inside Passage in September 07 (44' Ocean Alexander) and are wondering what is reliable communication en route. Is there some cell service? Wi Fi? And has anyone cruised at this time of year in the area. Weather?

Thanks,

Your probably best to check with your "provider" for Cell reception. It should be fine up to North Island (Campbell River) with "roaming" charges, after that it's pot luck.
Lots of marine parks in the area, make sure you pick up a good chart and keep an eye on the tide table.
The odds are that you will get better weather toward the end of July and all of August. This site may be of some help re: parks etc... http://www.britishcolumbia.com/Parks/?ID=547

Have fun, we used to go down to Friday Harbor and party on the 4th of July.

P.S. Make sure you the "proper" fishing license to take advantage of the ample seafood !!

Thanks, Yes we are a bit concerned about weather at that time of year. We likely won't go all the way-maybe To Prince Rupert. Have ordered Charlies charts for the trip.

Cell coverage

Coverage maps are fairly accurate in my experience.
