| Platinum
Managed to get a little closer (during lunchtime) but security was everywhere.
There is a large sign nearby, announcing 'the Project Platinum' Workyard.
Cheers For now |

Project Dolphin ?
Not heard of that one. There may be some confusion as there is a very large Oil and Gas Project happening here at the moment called.........Dolphin.

I've noticed that both this yacht and Al Salamah (the other huge middle eastern yacht) have a large recess in the middle of the yacht on the upper decks, would anyone have any idea what this may be?
Or is it just nothing?

The bottom pic in post 33 gives an on-water perspective of just how huge that yacht is. Is the Sheik planning on bringing her to Monaco for the race? Is there a dock long enough for her there?

Guys,
We've received some high-res pictures from Chobecat. We're waiting for a couple more shots and then... Platinum will be on the splash page with links to the high-res shots.
I'm making adjustments in the software to accomodate the size of the pictures this weekend. These pictures are GREAT!
Will post soonest...
Carl

Thank you for ensuring I was acknowledged for my pictures of the model moderator. Now she's been launched we'll hopefully get to see some super shots of the real thing.

Most likely to be an atrium, but I have seen plans of yachts with a 'moon pool' enabling a submarine for example to be lowered out in to the depths through the hull!

I'm preparing the images to upload today, but we've opted NOT to publish high-res pics, as they can be duplicated in print. Our standard image format is sufficient for all of us enthusiasts to enjoy the details, as the pictures are quite good.
Thanks,
Carl

Those pics you posted Carl... awesome stuff. " Project Platinum" looks amazing, but then again, how could it not? They kept the lines and proportions close enough to Pelorus that it couldn't help but look great. Once it's finished (sitting lower in the water, windows all tinted black, etc) it's just going to look astounding.

Amazing pics, thanks Carl.
Oh, and I can now see that the recess in the side of the upper decks, about halfway along, is an exteriour spiral staircase. |

Alwa,
You indicated it is "...most likely an atrium" Are deck plans available? I would love to see them.
