This is really funny.

I'm probably the only one here who can steer the **** thing, and I wouldn't own it even if I had that kind of cash. LOL

Smile Mega Yacht Platinnum

Does anyone have any details about which shipyard in Dubai is completing this vessel? Also, does anyone have any photos or know where to get photos of the vessel in Dubai?

I'm as happy aboard a thirty foot yawl as I am aboard a thousand foot ore carrier. So bigger isn't always better, just a more lubberly ride. Oh sure comfort is a key factor I grant you, but I've seen people get seasick on a calm sea on a Battleship. BB-62 if you must know. LOA 886, WOA 105. And yes, I steered it through the Panama Canal at the age of 18.

Project Platinum has sure created a lot of interest...

I've received e-mails from editors and publishers from various yachting magazines we ALL know. Thanks to all the guys on this thread who have brought us pictures and information... and brought some lurkers out of the woodwork.

Thumbs up I've got an idea...

Many of our members have worked to help us with pictures and information. They should be recognized and compensated for their efforts.

Whoever posts good pictures of Platinum first... gets a 2005 Lurssen Yachts calendar. Just send me your mailing address...

Sound fair?
