Certain article in Yachts International would suggest that its Kirk Lazurs, from the 45m Benetti yacht "Told U So".

Actually, watching the JetLev for a bit at the Miami show, it looks really cool and a lot of fun. May not be the item you buy to use every weekend, but for a yacht that charters it could be a great toy in the arsenal of recreation tools.
It's a thrill to be propelled 30 feet up just like it's a thrill to drive a fast boat at 60 mph (sorry your honor, it was the other guy on the throttle).

The only thing is that it requires a special training and a license (included in the sale price), which I think would effect its use as a toy on charter boats.

Cheers.

I understand, and used the term "toy" loosly. But from the dealer I'm told a 30 minute or so instruction will get you airborn. There's also a remote control a person on the yacht can use to maintain control in case the pilot gets disoriented. and at $99,000 or so, it may be more than a toy.

I was not commenting at all on the use of the term, just pointing out the impression I got from what I read on the web site. Good thing you mentioned that the remote is included in the package, I thought it was only for training purposes, this option would for sure make it more capable of being a charter toy. By the way, I loved your pictures of the pac in the Ft. Laud. show report, I always admire your view in the pictures you take. Great job. Thanks.

Cheers.
