Hi,

Might be an Orphan DELTA Job.

Was going to be DE but got a new Owner midway and things went back to basics

Whatever it is it looks like it has been at anchor as a hulk for a while.

No, this vessel is unfinished. I believe the guy you are asking about bought a finished one

I am pretty sure it is what used to be Marco Yacht's Z maybe to be finished up there. With Weta leaving to New Zealand, I guess this one would be next as it would be next to be finished.

In Build: Marco Yachts 85M "Z" - YachtForums.Com

Hi,

I think your are right on the money there.

After posting that quick response above this morning I was thinking about it on the way to the office but see you were also on to it.

The Weta seems to have a new name of Gin and Tonic II from what I saw in the press the other day with an aerial shot of the yachts in AKL during the RWC.

Here's a shot that will allow a keen eye to compare.

Marco 230 - Yacht Z... Along side Marco 228 - Yacht Weta

Both under construction in December 2009

Below is Marco 231... Sister to 230 Z

I don't know either but S. Seattle is hardly close to Anacortes.

It is kind of interesting though, the boat has come back to its spiritual home in a way. Marco started out building boats in their Lake Union Ship Canal yard until a tugboat project went expensively astray.

If indeed she is headed to Delta in Seattle to be finished, a stop in Anacortes at Dakota Creek Industries would make sense.

They have worked with Delta on projects previously.....most recent the launching of "Laural" which could not be accomplished at Delta

Perhaps this unfinished vessel in my pictures above needs to be lifted for paint, shafts and electrolysis protection...?

M/V Laural....being moved the Dakota Creek for launching

. . . . being developed nicely in the subsequent posts! Anacortes, by the way, might as well be a suburb of Seattle these days.
